Summary:

The casino and theme park at Resorts World Sentosa will open for eight days from the first day of the Chinese New Year and for four hours each day- from 5pm to 9pm. The public need to par 10 dollars to get in the theme park with none of the 20 rides or shows running. After the eight days, the casino will be closed again until early next month.

Reflection:

The casino is one of the most sensitive issues in Singapore, so this time, the pre-open action of the Sentosa casino has also raised lots of reflections. In my point of view, the Singapore government made this decision firstly to celebrate Chinese New Year; secondly to kind of satisfy the public curiosity on the casinos; and thirdly to publicize the casino and attract more customers. I really appreciate this pre-open action because it provides the public one more recreation during the holiday. However, I am wondering why the casino will only be open in the evening from 5pm to 9pm, which is really a short time. In term of this issue, government should be more considerate when making any decision.
